Mentazine was started in 2024 by one guy, and is still ran today by that same single guy. I’m that guy.
I do a lot of work on computers, electronics, programming, video and audio editing, 3D FDM Printing, Laser Engraving, and when I have the free time and need to relax I like to do a little gaming. I have a lot of technical hobbies I know, but working with code and manipulating databases is my true love. I love engaging with my users and love posting helpful information for people to stumble upon on this great thing we call the internet.
I’m getting into my late 30’s and I can tell you the internet has changed a lot since my days of logging on with my 56K Modem. Can you imagine someone playing Unreal Tournament 99 on a 56K connection (Instagib, Low Grav, and Game Speed 200% mind you)? Well that’s what I grew up doing. I programmed my first application in Visual Basic 6 when that was still a thing (a calculator, of course) and I have been doing graphic design for a good 22 years in Photoshop.
This site is for everyone though, you didn’t need to start on AOL to feel welcome here. This is meant to be a site with useful information on it that can help everybody. I am always interested in having extra writers here that share the same interests. Just look at some of the posts I do here and if it looks like it’s stuff you would love to write about, get ahold of me. I would be more than happy to have you and some extra content on the site. With working a full-time job that unfortunately is not any one of these hobbies I love so much, I never really have a whole lot of time to work on Mentazine.
